The Lake Constance Tour

The Lake Constance tour takes you along the lake from St.Gallen to the Austrian town of Bregenz and then on to Lindau. Centuries-old buildings, historic squares and romantic lanes conjure up an almost Mediterranean ambience here. Friedrichshafen is just a few kilometres away. You can’t talk about the history of this town without mentioning Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. This man’s vision sparked an economic boom and his legacy is still felt here today. Zeppelin built his airships right here. You won’t want to miss the Zeppelin Museum. The ferry will take you back to Romanshorn in Switzerland, across Lake Constance, in half an hour. The Autobau Erlebniswelt classic car museum has everything a classic car enthusiast could want: from antique vehicles to sports cars and everyday cars. The next stop is Arbon, a charming resort town by the lake. It has many attractions, including a historic old town, a wide range of shopping options, and plenty of pleasant walks and cycle paths. The tour continues through the Canton of Thurgau, past lush meadows and fruit trees, and back to St.Gallen.
