Rorschach – the idyllic harbour town
Why you’ll love Rorschach
This delightful town on the shores of Lake Constance offers a wide range of activities and attractions to make your visit unforgettable. The picturesque harbour town of Rorschach, in the southernmost bay of Lake Constance, is like a dream Mediterranean holiday destination. The corn exchange (Korn-haus), one of the town’s best-known landmarks, was built as a granary in the 18th century. It eventual-ly made Rorschach the most important trading hub for grain merchants from southern Germany. Today, it houses a museum whose exhibits include impressive models of the houses on stilts that used to stand here. Visitors can also indulge in a bit of nostalgia at the Rorschach bathing hut, a wooden structure built in 1924 that is still in use today. It stands on stilts in Lake Constance. From Rorschach, there are some fantastic bike and boat trips you can take to make your visit complete.
