Lake Park Rorschach

The lake park in Rorschach was built in 1920.

The garden architect was Fritz Klauser. He designed the garden under the theme "Inviting, light, cheerful pleasure garden". He placed the emphasis on the horizontal with the flat plane trees and lime trees on the one hand and on the vertical with the accentuating, soaring poplar groups "sky cannons" on the other. Until 1950, a sandstone wall ran between the Seepark and Kabisplatz. It was intended to represent the separation of work and recreation.
