One of the most beautiful ponds in the city of St.Gallen

The picturesque pond is located on the outskirts of St.Georgen. It owes its name to the entrepreneur Michael Weniger, who had the pond built in the 19th century. The pond served as a reservoir for the industrial and commercial enterprises of the time. Today the pond is the idyllic starting point of the Industry and Nature Trail and the Philosphental Trail.
