Walter Zoo AG Gossau

Walter Zoo AG Gossau
Fascinate, educate, protect. Walter Zoo delights explorers of all ages.

Around 1,000 animals from around 100 different species make the visit an unforgettable experience. Be it the majestic Barbary lion, the fascinating Siberian tigers, the hustle and bustle of the chimpanzees, the dazzling pink flamingos, the lesser pandas and dwarf otters, the exciting animal and plant world in the savannah house or the tropical house. Zebras, vicuñas, Bactrian camels, ponies and donkeys can be observed amidst spacious grounds. Guests can learn exciting and interesting facts about the animal kingdom during commented animal activities and feedings, during flight training and in the zoo school. Other attractions for younger visitors include the adventure playgrounds, the feeding aviary, camel and pony rides and the petting meadow. The zoo restaurant with a view of the tropical house, various food stalls and barbecue areas round off the varied offer. The daily performances in the zoo theater are a highlight (during the main season). Walter Zoo is also an exciting venue for events. Whether an aperitif, banquet or brunch: the event rooms offer the right ambience for any celebration. But also for customer events, team building, management training, seminars, annual general meetings or workshops - participants experience enthusiasm and emotion here. Guided tours, lectures or animal encounters turn the event into something special!

From spring to fall, school classes and groups of up to 36 people can stay overnight at the zoo on dates of their choice.
