Tariff association OSTWIND
The tariff association OSTWIND is one of the largest tariff associations in Switzerland in terms of area. It offers a simple zone fare system for journeys in the March (SZ) and in the cantons of SG, TG, AR, AI, GL, SH and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
Since June 1, 2009, the so-called zone tariff has been valid throughout the entire area of the tariff association. Since then, travelers no longer buy tickets from place to place, but the zones passed through between and including the place of departure and destination. Within the zones, the ticket is valid on train and bus. With an OSTWIND ticket, the customer travels within the selected zones and the time validity with all means of public transport - wherever and as often as they want.
