Schweizerische Südostbahn
Schweizerische Südostbahn AG (SOB) is an independent, integrated railroad company managed according to private-sector criteria, which includes all the divisions required by a public transport company.
In modern trains, the SOB transports over 13 million passengers a year (commuters and leisure travelers) and maintains a 123-kilometer rail network with numerous engineering structures (19 tunnels and 192 bridges, including the Sitter Viaduct, Switzerland's highest railroad bridge at 99 meters).
The unique and colorful Swiss landscape with its mountains, valleys and lakes, which slowly passes by the window of the SOB trains, impresses and fascinates tourists and locals alike. The most beautiful destinations along the SOB railroad line are well suited for a day trip or stopover.
