The tradition of chocolate is alive and well in St.Gallen right next door to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Since its origins in 1875, Praliné Scherrer has been one of the premiere addresses for pralines, St.Gallen biber , a special kind of gingerbread dating back to the 15th century, butter cookies, amarettis and its exclusive whisky truffles.
