open art museum

An open space for art without borders - with a focus on outsider art. The open art museum shows exhibitions in a crossover between art brut, naive art and contemporary positions. Special emphasis is placed on communicating art to children and young people.
The open art museum's collection and exhibition practice is dedicated to Swiss Art Brut, Outsider Art and Naïve Art. It has a collection of over 8,000 works by more than 180 artists. The museum stands for the existential importance of artistic creation - both for the individual and for society. It brings people together through art and sees itself as an open place for art without borders.
The changing exhibitions show works that fascinate with their versatility, unusual content and inventiveness. At the same time, they tell of life lived - an art full of stories.
