Hof zu Wil
The Hof zu Wil, originally built as a fortification for the Counts of Toggenburg, is considered a landmark of the town.
The Hof zu Wil, located in the old town of Wil, is a cultural monument of national historical importance and looks back on a history of more than 800 years. From July 2023, the third stage of renovation will take place and the courtyard will be reopened to the public in several sections. Future uses will include the operation of a restaurant, lodging, museum staging, school and event spaces, and the local library and tourist information center. A partial opening is planned for the fall of 2024. The upcoming 3rd construction phase is the provisional conclusion of a comprehensive generation project. Further information can be found at www.hofzuwil.ch.
Directly below the old town is the idyllic Stadtweier with children's playground.
