Cobesen Mill

Cobesen Mill
The artist Wilhelm Lehmann (1884 to 1974) created a life's work in the Kobesenmühle, which is carefully maintained by the Wilhelm Lehmann Foundation and made accessible in the exhibition and the magnificent natural garden.
The Kobesenmühle is a quiet, idyllic place with a pond, rushing brook and a diverse nature. From 1917 to 1974, the idiosyncratic artist and thinker Wilhelm Lehmann worked in the old mill. His expressive sculptures, woodcuts and drawings and his profound thinking have a timeless significance. The exhibition in the Kobesenmühle offers an interesting insight into the work of Wilhelm Lehmann. It is rearranged every year and sometimes supplemented with works by other artists. In the museum's natural garden we serve coffee and cake during opening hours.
