In 1930 Jacob Rohner founded a sock factory in Balgach and bought special machines for manufacturing socks and stockings on an industrial scale. At the time, the Swiss Rhine Valley was famous for its textile products. Circular knitting machines made it possible to produce stockings and socks of the highest quality. Even today, “Rohner socks” are known for comfort and fit.
