The traditional excursion restaurant with Waldschenke on the outskirts of St.Gallen is located in a slightly elevated position, idyllically situated on the edge of the Höchster forest in the middle of the recreational area. The view of Lake Constance is breathtaking. Since spring 2021, it has been run by the Fässler siblings. Far away from the fast rhythm of the city, the local recreation area with the Guggeienbach and Höchster forest create an oasis of peace and unique atmosphere. The forest invites you to explore and take a walk, and the restaurant with Waldschenke and playground invites you to linger. The self-service Waldschenke is open from April 1 to October 31 in fine weather and invites you to linger. A spacious playground, in the midst of the shady trees, delights especially the children's hearts. Parents can take a seat at the tables next to the playground or in the garden restaurant. The Guggeien-Höchst restaurant offers seasonal, regional and fresh specialties. The beef, veal, pork and chicken come exclusively from Switzerland and are supplied by the local butcher.
