Jacob's Fountain

For centuries, Rorschach has been on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, which is why a chapel of St. James stood on this spot until 1833.
The fountain with the figure of the pilgrim striding briskly dates back to 1895. Today, the bell of St. James still rings twice a day - at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; during the summer months, volunteers perform this work by hand.
