Mountain railroad Staubern
From Frümsen in the Rhine valley up to the Staubern.
The Staubernbahn is the first mountain railroad in the world to be operated independently in terms of energy. It is energy and environmentally neutral. In addition, the lift makes the most vertical meters in one section. The new construction project is family-financed. As a further contribution to the conscious use of raw materials and the environment, charging stations for electromobility are also being installed at the bottom station.
Guests can enjoy a unique view from the ridge. The Berggasthaus Staubern takes care of the physical well-being.
Opening hours
The train runs every 20 minutes (xx:00 / xx:20 / xx:40) in the high season. In case of heavy traffic, there is continuous operation (every 8 minutes). Tickets can be purchased directly at the Frümsen valley station at the ticket machine or in the mountain inn.
