Adventure tour with joke hiking trail
A nostalgic ride on the cog railroad, a hike on the Witzweg trail and a leisurely boat trip through the Altenrhein nature reserve!
The journey starts in Rorschach with the cogwheel railroad and leads high up to Heiden (794m above sea level). Once in Heiden, you should definitely visit the Witzkiste, where “Witzli” and his friend will tell you more about the history of the Appenzell joke. Afterwards, the three-hour hike starts on the Witzweg trail with a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Constance. You can now also enjoy the typical Appenzell jokes via smartphone at various listening stations along the joke trail. In Walzenhausen, you travel comfortably to Rheineck on the nostalgic cogwheel railroad. The last stage of the adventure tour is the boat trip through the nature reserve along the Old Rhine to the starting point in Rorschach.
The boat season is daily from mid-May to the beginning of October.
