In the Bärenstobe, chef Carsten Kypke combines regional delicacies with international flavors - accompanied by fine wines from the wine cellar.
The Bärenstobe combines tradition and modernity in a unique way. In the historic rooms of the inn, which was first mentioned in a document in 1751, guests can experience upscale fine dining. From Thursday to Saturday, Executive Chef Carsten Kypke creates a tasting menu with four to six courses that combines top regional products with the most diverse flavors in the world. Although the Appenzell roots form the basis, modern approaches and fresh ingredients create completely new taste experiences at the Bärenstobe. The culinary offer has recently been rounded off with a matching drink or wine accompaniment with selected wines from the impressive wine cellar.
