In the lower Rhine Valley, the Schmidheiny winery continues to cultivate a tradition that started about 1,000 years ago: Wine culture at the highest level.

The conditions are ideal in locations not far from Lake Constance. Characterised by unique terrain with the perfect microclimate, the grapes thrive on sun-drenched slopes.

The winery specialises in authentic, regional wines – produced with respect for proven winemaking traditions, which also incorporate the findings of contemporary oenology. Thomas Schmidheiny, who runs the family business in the third generation, also attaches great importance to close cooperation with his own wineries all over the world.

In 2012 the winery in Heerbrugg underwent a major renovation and a new building was added – to show its clear commitment to the flourishing location, to the vibrant wine culture and to high-end architecture and art.
