Unteruhldingen Stilt Village

Unteruhldingen Stilt Village

With over 20 reconstructed houses, the Archaeology Museum is one of the largest open-air museums in Europe.

In six stilt villages built directly on Lake Constance, the reconstructed pile dwellings trace the history of the Bronze and Stone Age farmers and traders in the foothills of the Alps.

A guided tour takes visitors over footbridges across Lake Constance into the mysterious world of the Early Stone and Bronze Age (accessible for the disabled and prams). On a guided tour, visitors can see scenes from everyday life from the period between 3,000 and 6,000 years ago.
