The Berggasthaus Nestel, an alpine guesthouse, is modern yet rustic, in panoramic Toggenburg above Ebnat-Kappel.
It is the perfect place to explore the region on foot and sample regional fare. Regional specialities are reinterpreted and combined. For example, the bloderchäs , an alpine cheese, and mostbröckli , a cured, smoked and dried piece of meat, can be found on the Toggenburg flammkuchen , a kind of tarte flambée. But even the schnitzel is not just a schnitzel. The Nestel classic is made from freshly pounded and breaded Toggenburger pork and served with Eastern Switzerland chips.
